Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as the Academic Success Support Center Coordinator. This position is responsible for providing support services to middle and high school students in Otero County, with a focus on promoting academic success and career readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and onboard participants for the TRIO Educational Talent Search program
  • Coordinate and deliver various student support programs, including in-school meetings, career and college success sessions, and educational events
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote program services
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Three years of experience in academic support services or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including first-generation and economically disadvantaged students
  • Knowledge of TRIO Educational Talent Search program requirements and best practices
  • Ability to travel to program sites and attend meetings as needed
Working Conditions

This position is based at the Alamogordo, New Mexico campus and requires some evening and weekend work hours. A State Background Check and NMPED Teacher or Substitute Licensure are required within three months of hire.
