Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Consultant to join our Sales & Marketing team at Paylocity. As a key member of our inside sales team, you will play a critical role in generating additional revenue through our client base.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with C-level executives and identify their business objectives. You will also possess a deep understanding of Paylocity's services and products, as well as internal sales tools and processes.

In this exciting opportunity, you will lead generation efforts by contacting clients and presenting tailored solutions that meet their needs. Your strong negotiation and persuasion skills will enable you to close ancillary business and consistently meet or exceed assigned monthly sales quotas.

Responsibilities
  • Possess a complete understanding of Paylocity services, products, internal sales tools, and processes.
  • Lead generation by contacting clients for Human Resources, Self-Service, time and labor management, and other ancillary services.
  • Using sales and negotiation skills, present Paylocity products and services that meet client's needs, conduct product demonstrations via the web, prepare and present proposals, and provide appropriate follow-up throughout the sales process.
  • Handle objections.
  • Close ancillary business to meet or exceed assigned monthly sales quotas while maintaining or exceeding minimum sales activity standards.
  • Complete and obtain appropriate documentation required by internal departments for implementation.
  • Set appropriate client expectations.
  • Maintain customer relationship management (CRM) database.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of B2B full sales cycle experience (preferred)
  • Self-driven, ambitious professional with the desire to consistently meet and exceed assigned quotas.
  • Ability to persuade and negotiate.
  • Strong active listening skills to be able to uncover client needs and objectives.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively present Paylocity.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
  • Proficiency with the Internet and MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
