Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machinist V to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Horizontal equipment to machine aluminum parts into sub-units or complete units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering plans to determine operation, material, and dimensional requirements.
  • Apply advanced skills to develop concepts and techniques, completing highly complex tasks in creative and effective ways.
  • Work independently to resolve highly complex problems, making recommendations for new procedures as needed.
  • Take measurements of material and select appropriate machines for the process.
  • Perform machining setups and make adjustments as required.
  • Conduct inspections of work produced and check SPC charts for frequency of checks, gauging, and measurements.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records as necessary.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a HS diploma or GED with 6 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a diploma or GED, 8 years of relevant experience required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) as defined.
  • 1 or more years of experience leading a team preferred.
