Position Overview
The role of the Customer Dispute Analyst involves managing and resolving customer chargeback issues. This position requires thorough transaction analysis, strong analytical capabilities, and precise documentation of all actions taken, including communications with merchants and cardholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed research and resolution of customer chargebacks.
- Document actions taken and maintain accurate records of communications.
- Apply banking and card industry regulations to effectively resolve disputes.
- Compile statistics on chargebacks to identify trends and enhance customer service.
- Process and resolve chargeback requests for multiple dispute reason codes.
- Analyze transactions to determine compliance with federal regulations.
- Organize supporting documentation and apply necessary adjustments to accounts.
- Assist in the categorization of pending requests based on complexity and type.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- No prior relevant experience is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience in dispute resolution.
- Basic understanding of association and card industry regulations.
Skills and Knowledge:
Develop and apply essential skills to complete routine tasks while adhering to company policies and procedures. Work on assignments that are routine to semi-routine, requiring limited decision-making outside established processes.
Supervision:
Receive detailed instructions and follow established procedures, working under close supervision.
