Position Overview:

LibertyHealth System is seeking a dedicated Floor Technician who is meticulous and skilled in the upkeep of various flooring types. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for all residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily dust mopping or vacuuming of hallways and common areas.
  • Conduct damp mopping or vacuuming of corridors on a daily basis.
  • Regularly spray buff designated hard surface areas to ensure cleanliness and shine.
  • Shampoo and/or extract carpets in specified areas as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness in corridors, ensuring no dirt accumulates, particularly in baseboards and corners.
  • Respond promptly to spills, adhering to established cleaning protocols.
  • Provide support to Housekeeping Assistants as needed.
  • Assist in the cleaning of rooms for new residents or during room transfers.
  • Strip, wax, and seal floors according to the established maintenance schedule.
  • Conduct deep cleaning of resident room floors regularly.
  • Help prepare and clean rooms for scheduled events and meetings.
  • Assist with the management of soiled linens and ensure clean carts are returned to their designated locations.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored at the end of each shift.
  • Work collaboratively with the director on assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Thoroughly inspect and clean all areas prior to the conclusion of each shift.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Participation in mandatory in-service training for all staff members.
  • Ability to read and write effectively to follow cleaning instructions.
  • Adherence to designated cleaning schedules.
  • Demonstrate kindness and respect towards all residents.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and personal hygiene standards.
  • Comply with all personnel, departmental, and facility policies.
  • Wear the appropriate uniform and identification badge at all times.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm panel and pull station reset procedures.
  • Knowledge of the facility's fire and disaster protocols and adherence to them.
