Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to oversee therapy sessions and provide guidance to Assistants for our clients. This role involves collaborating with physicians to assess client functionality, identifying speech or language disorders, and recommending suitable therapeutic interventions.

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in evaluating clients' functional levels, identifying speech or language disorders, and recommending effective therapy.
  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language services in clients' homes as directed by physicians.
  • Assess clients' home environments and provide recommendations for enhancements to support therapy.
  • Monitor clients' conditions through careful observation, documenting any changes and reporting them to the physician and nursing supervisor.
  • Propose adjustments to care plans as necessary and implement changes authorized by the physician.
  • Educate and train healthcare personnel, clients, and families on methods to assist in improving speech disabilities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate client progress and treatment responses.
  • Serve as a resource for families and agency staff, providing information and training.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and progress notes.
  • Engage in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing education and training.
  • Lead educational programs for clients and caregivers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all services.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Speech Therapy program recognized by relevant health education and accreditation bodies.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct client interaction experience.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Therapist in the practicing state.
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology or Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Current certification in basic life support (CPR).
  • Proof of TB screening conducted within the last 12 months.
  • Proficient in computer software for accurate documentation, with a preference for MS Office knowledge.
