As a Speech Language Pathologist at Nexus Health Systems Ltd, you will be instrumental in performing comprehensive speech evaluations, assessments, and delivering tailored speech therapy interventions. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administering speech therapy services to patients as designated
  • Conducting screenings, assessments, and formulating personalized treatment strategies
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions suitable for various age groups
  • Communicating findings from speech-language assessments and recommendations to the healthcare team and patients/families
  • Engaging in patient care meetings to provide updates on progress and adjust goals as necessary
  • Facilitating in-service training sessions as required
  • Contributing to the creation of educational programs for students
  • Overseeing Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in patient care and related activities
  • Accurately documenting and billing for therapeutic services in a timely manner
Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Graduation from a master's degree program accredited by The Speech-Language Pathology Educational Standards Board
  • Completion of coursework and clinical practice aligned with ASLHA certification requirements

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of one year of experience working with adult and adolescent populations, ideally in a clinical environment

Licensure and Certification:

  • Must hold a valid license in Speech-Language Pathology from the state of Texas
  • Certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
  • Must maintain current certification in good standing throughout employment
