This role involves collaborating with physicians to assess client functionality, identifying speech or language disorders, and recommending suitable therapeutic interventions.

At Helping Hands Homecare, we prioritize personalized care that feels like family. Our mission is to support children and their families by delivering essential services in the comfort of their homes. Our pediatric programs are designed to foster stability and provide tailored care for each child.

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in evaluating client functionality and identifying speech or language disorders, while recommending appropriate therapy.
  • Deliver speech and language services safely within the home environment as per physician directives.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of the client's home setting and provide actionable recommendations to enhance their environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client conditions through careful observation and document any changes in their status.
  • Propose modifications to the care plan as necessary and implement changes upon physician approval.
  • Educate and train family members and other healthcare staff on effective methods to support clients in improving speech abilities.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate client progress and treatment responses.
  • Serve as a resource for family members and agency staff, providing information and training.
  • Document all services rendered daily and maintain comprehensive progress notes.
  • Engage in case discussions, team meetings, and ongoing education and training.
  • Lead educational sessions for clients and caregivers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Speech Therapy program recognized by relevant professional bodies.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct client interaction experience.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology or Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Current certification in basic life support (CPR).
  • Proof of TB screening conducted within the last year.
  • Proficient in computer software for accurate documentation, with a preference for MS Office familiarity.
