Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Granite State Gastrointestinal. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff in a fast-paced, independent physician-owned medical practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient charts and obtain vital signs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in our electronic medical record system.
  • Coordinate patient care information with other healthcare providers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Triaging patient calls and messages, providing empathetic and professional support to our patients.
  • Obtain prior authorization for medications, radiology tests, and GI procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with our endoscopy centers to schedule EGD and colonoscopies, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
  • Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and medical closets, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Encourage collaboration with drug representatives to educate patients on GI medication functions and diseases.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a CNA/LNA/MA program or equivalent on-the-job training, with certification in good standing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with EMR system experience and LNA/CNA/MA certification preferred.
