Key Responsibilities
  • Aggressively develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and expand our client base.
  • Actively seek and close new advertising revenue opportunities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals and targets.
  • Accurately calculate and quote rates for customers.
  • Work closely with our Creative Services team to develop effective advertising campaigns for clients.
  • Accurately process ad changes and cancellations, ensuring excellent customer relations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including inquiring about billing information and maintaining accurate records.
  • Stay up-to-date on marketing and advertising trends, as well as account activity and billing accuracy.
  • Complete accurate insertion reports, expense reports, sales reports, and other reports as needed.
  • Maintain accurate credits and ensure they are in reasonable proportion to revenue generated.
  • Maintain a high standard of reliability and foster a productive team atmosphere.
  • Develop strong working relationships with team members and managers to achieve personal, department, and company goals.
  • Remain flexible and open-minded in accepting new tasks and changes in the market due to emerging media trends.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Business-to-business sales experience preferred, with media and/or digital sales being a plus.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of or ability to learn all aspects of necessary software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Basic business math skills.
  • A self-motivated, self-starter who can perform daily with limited supervision.
  • Ability to meet production deadlines.
