Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team at Charles Kirchner And Son Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing accounts, and promoting our extensive range of building materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the West Central Indiana and East Central Illinois area.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and other key decision-makers.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our building materials, including their features, benefits, and applications.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Order Management: Oversee the entire sales process from initial contact through order fulfillment.
  • Estimating & Measuring: Capable of accurately estimating building materials and precisely measuring doors, windows, siding, and other building supplies.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities.
  • Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of building materials, construction processes, and industry standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required.
