Job Summary

Columbine Manor Care Center is seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator/Driver to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to medical appointments and activity outings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, transport, and unload patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
  • Complete pre-inspections before use of vehicle and monitor regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.).
  • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
  • Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc. and maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
  • Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures and display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license or valid commercial driver's license in current State, as applicable, with a satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or geriatrics preferred.
Working Conditions

The Transportation Coordinator/Driver must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is also required.
