Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at the Naval Medical Logistics Command. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality management standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely testing and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain quality control and assurance policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to laboratory staff on quality management and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, health, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of statistical evaluation and analysis.
  • Experience with desktop publishing software.

Clearance:

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Secret Security Clearance Required.

Other Considerations: applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Individual's primary workstation is located in an office area. The noise level in this environment is low to moderate. Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of the time.
