Compensation: $21.75/hr+ based on experience (includes a $2.50 per hour premium for 2nd shift)

Role Overview:

The Skilled Production Associate/Assembler plays a crucial role in the assembly and construction of various components, including complete truck bodies. Your growth in knowledge will directly correlate with your earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret orders, specifications, blueprints, and labels, including those with safety warnings.
  • Utilize various saws, shears, and cutters to shape wood or metal to required dimensions.
  • Assemble components using bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
  • Operate pneumatic and hand tools effectively.
  • Conduct machine setup and perform necessary preventative maintenance.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and defects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and conduct safety checks.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic skills in mathematics, tape measurement, and computer usage.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is necessary.
  • Experience in construction is advantageous but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in truck body assembly.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position operates in a manufacturing environment. Regular tasks include talking, hearing, standing for extended periods, walking, using hands for handling, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
  • Occasional tasks may require sitting, bending, stooping, reaching overhead, or crawling in confined spaces.
  • Repetitive hand tasks and the ability to climb ladders or work at heights are necessary.
