About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Innovation and Design Engineer to join our team in Nashville. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design and develop innovative solutions for our logistics systems.
  • Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Hand-off projects to our Ops Engineering team for installation and commissioning.
  • Support the Ops Engineering team to ensure successful installation and launch of designed systems.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or 2+ years Amazon experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related.
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics, and/or high-speed manufacturing.
  • Proficiency using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
  • Ability to travel 20% globally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty.
  • Experience with process design and based on Lean Principles.
  • Proficiency with concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.
