About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Innovation and Design Engineer to join our team in Nashville. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design and develop innovative solutions for our logistics systems.
  • Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Hand-off projects to our Ops Engineering team for installation and commissioning.
  • Support the Ops Engineering team to ensure successful installation, commissioning, and launch of designed systems.
Project Scope

Your projects will include green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits. Our team is responsible for designing fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, specialty facilities, and ground and air transportation centers throughout North America and Europe.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics, and/or high-speed manufacturing.
  • Proficiency using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
  • Ability to travel 20% globally.
