Role of Facilities Management: The Facilities Management team plays a crucial role in maintaining a profitable operation by ensuring that assets are well-maintained and services are delivered efficiently. This team supports sales initiatives and helps control costs, allowing store teams to focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on all facility assets and equipment.
  • Guide store teams to align project work with Facilities Management priorities and financial objectives.
  • Work with various systems including Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, and Electrical.
  • Assess whether to repair or replace assets while managing costs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and Target guidelines.

Daily Duties:

  • Understand the impact of your role on store sales goals.
  • Communicate PM workload priorities and collaborate on projects with the team.
  • Utilize technology to manage daily work orders.
  • Evaluate store performance and vendor effectiveness in meeting maintenance standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on assets.
  • Execute special projects and support asset management strategies.
  • Ensure accountability for vendor performance and completion of work orders.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of new team members.
  • Promote a culture of safety and inclusivity.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic technical skills and experience with property assets are necessary.
  • Preferred experience in technical fields such as electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and ensure quality service.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments and handle physical tasks.
