Key Responsibilities

  • Administer the approved vendor list (AVL), including evaluations, audits, and contractual agreements with suppliers.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies within the supply chain.
  • Negotiate pricing and payment conditions with suppliers to lower material costs and enhance inventory efficiency.
  • Generate purchase orders and track supplier performance metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Issue and manage supplier corrective action requests.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to establish acceptance criteria for incoming materials, address scrap, and manage non-conforming items.
  • Report on key performance indicators to the leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Solid understanding of finance and inventory management principles.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in inventory management software (preferably Fishbowl), QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 medical device quality management standards.
  • Knowledge of FAR standards.
