Job Title: Chief Auditor

The New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) is a leading law enforcement agency with a mission to combat municipal corruption. As an independent and nonpartisan watchdog, we serve the people of New York City by monitoring government agencies, City employees, vendors, and individuals receiving City funds.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Auditor to join our Vendor Integrity Unit. The selected candidate will provide auditing services to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. This includes reviewing project documents, attending regular meetings, and working with the monitorship team to identify risk areas and provide recommendations for improved contract compliance.

  • Supervise an Investigative Auditor
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business, or statistics, or a closely related field. A CFE/CPA certification is preferred. You should also have three years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research. Experience supervising other auditors is a plus.
