Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and maintain regular financial planning reports, including monthly profit and loss forecasts and cash flow projections.
    • Provide in-depth analyses of financial results, educate stakeholders on financial impacts, and develop recommendations for strategic and tactical decisions.
    • Develop and maintain capital budgets and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Finance
    • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds as needed.
    • Manage cash, investment, and asset portfolios, as well as banking relationships.
    • Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization's operations and business.
  • Planning, Policy, and Investor Relations
    • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets, continuously improving the budgeting process by educating managers on considerations, implications, and best practices.
    • Develop financial business plans and participate in the organization's policy development as a member of the senior management team.
    • Assist in developing short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and develop appropriate KPIs to monitor and drive financial performance.
    • Represent the organization to financial partners, including financial institutions, investors, and auditors.
  • Accounting
    • Oversee the Finance department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions, supervising finance staff and ensuring the maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial reporting.
    • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for federal and state funders, foundations, and the organization's Board.
    • Oversee audits and proper filing of tax returns, including compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management
    • Mentor and develop the team of direct reports, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, communication, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
    • Ensure that there is an effective succession plan in place for the CFO position and other senior executives reporting to the CFO.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.
  • Masters' Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution.

Salary: $300,000/year
