Job Description

Fluor is seeking a highly skilled Interface Management Specialist to join our team. As an Interface Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects by managing the interactions between various project scopes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and define the points of interaction between different components of the scope, in all phases of execution.
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination between relevant systems, disciplines, or stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflicts that arise from overlapping work or misalignments between different scopes of the project.
  • Document and maintain detailed records of how physical and soft interfaces are identified, managed, and closed.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks associated with interfaces to mitigate or prevent delays and cost overruns.
Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Job-related skills required - Strong leadership skills, customer focus, business acumen, influence, strategic agility, decision making, personal accountability, ownership and follow through, a team player, mentor, and coach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Jobsite experience and understanding of construction safety program.
  • Requires three (3) years of experience as Project Engineer or Specialist, or a project role of significant capacity such as Project Controls Lead, Contracts Lead, etc., and three (3) years experience as a design or construction engineer on projects.
  • Completed project management related courses in-house and through university or other qualified sources.
  • Basic understanding of project design, engineering, procurement, material management, construction, commissioning, start up, turn over work processes, sequencing, and interfaces.
