Director, Compensation, Benefits and HRIS

ISO New England is a not-for-profit, independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid.

As a key member of the Human Resources leadership team, you will lead the strategic direction, operational excellence, and legal compliance for all compensation and benefits programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and executing a Total Rewards strategy that attracts, motivates, and retains top talent in our industry.
  • Leading the strategy, design, and execution of our total rewards programs to ensure equity and compliance.
  • Overseeing development and management of annual compensation programs, including salary and merit increases, equity and benchmarking reviews, and promotions.
  • Collaborating with the HR team and business leaders to develop and execute compensation solutions to meet the needs of daily operations.
  • Leading, managing, and developing our compensation, benefits, and HRIS team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, or related education/experience.
  • 10+ years HR experience with subject matter expertise in compensation, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Experience in total compensation and benefits design, full life-cycle planning and implementation, budget planning, salary survey management, compliance, and vendor/broker partnerships.
  • Inclusive leadership style that engages, develops, and motivates their team to drive results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence, build relationships, and trust at all levels and across departments.
