Job Description

The Director of Operations plays a crucial role in supporting the DBIS administrative team and residential programs. This position is responsible for providing guidance, quality assurance, and continuous quality improvement for the operations of the programs within the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the Vice President or Division Director, provides support, guidance, quality assurance, continuous quality improvement and planning for the operations of the programs within the division.
  • Manages the logistics of new admissions and residential placements in conjunction with the clinical team.
  • Sets up the physical operations for new residences/programs, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
  • Participates in the Residential team on projects and development of Residential Services.
  • Works closely with Program Directors and staff in preparation for licensing and ensures regulatory compliance and follow-up in responding to deficiencies as they arise.
  • Provides fiscal oversight to ensure Program Directors operate within their budgets.
  • Ensures best customer relationships internally and externally, maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with clients, customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Acts as a team builder, supporter, and player with integrity and loyalty, demonstrating dedication to the organization's mission and goals.
  • On-call responsibilities are included in the position.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with the DBIS population is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or three years of full-time experience working with people who live with developmental delays and/or brain injuries is preferred.
  • Three to five years of management experience is required.
  • Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills are necessary.
  • A valid Driver's License and acceptable motor vehicle record are required.
  • Certification in Medication Administration under MA MAP guidelines is required.
