Position Overview

The Financial Division Manager will directly report to the Assistant Controller of the Special Metals Division. This role is pivotal in collaborating with various sites within Special Metals to ensure robust knowledge, leadership, and a proactive approach towards timely and high-quality accounting practices and financial reporting deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate adherence to US GAAP and internal policies across the division.
  • Consolidate financial results and forecasts for the Division on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Oversee weekly cash flow forecasting and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage the closing process for the Special Metals Division staff entity.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations, requiring regular interaction with various plant locations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Corporate Finance regarding SOX events or changes, disseminating relevant information to the plants.
  • Review and coordinate various reports, including weekly cash flow and month-end/quarterly close reports.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; additional relevant degrees may be considered.
  • 6-10 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and US GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial systems such as Hyperion/FCCS.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Business Administration or CPA is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing teams and working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders.
  • Experience in a multi-site operational environment.
