About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Employee Relations and Development at Vertex Service Partners LLC.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in human resources, organizational development, and employee relations. They will be responsible for providing guidance and support to management on complex employee relations issues, developing and implementing performance management tools and processes, and leading engagement surveys to gauge organizational climate and employee satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization. They will also have a proven track record of using data to drive decision-making and improve organizational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations:
    • Consult with management on employee relations issues.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment.
    • Provide support to managers on complex employee relations issues.
  • Performance Management:
    • Design and implement performance management systems.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance performance management skills.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to managers on performance management techniques.
  • Engagement Surveys:
    • Administer employee engagement surveys to assess organizational climate and employee satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement action plans to improve engagement and reduce turnover.
    • Analyze survey results and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Analyze employee data to inform business decisions.
    • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to drive business results.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in employee relations, human resources, or organizational development.
  • Very strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing performance management, employee engagement strategies and onboarding and L&D programs.
  • Experience working in a complex environment such as multiple brands, a wide range of geographic locations, varying levels of workforce and a minimum of 1500 employees.
  • Experience with M&A a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to build excellent communication plans, presentations and training guides.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and complex employee issues with discretion, fairness, and legal compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with a track record of using data to drive decision-making and improve organizational outcomes.

Travel: Up to 25%

Compensation: $165,000 - $185,000 + bonus, compensation based on experience
