Our Operations are Divided into Five Key Divisions:

  • Paint and Final Assembly Systems: Solutions for paint shops and assembly lines tailored for the automotive sector.
  • Application Technology: Advanced robotic solutions for the automated application of coatings, sealants, and adhesives.
  • Clean Technology Systems: Systems designed for exhaust-air purification and energy efficiency.
  • Measuring and Process Systems: Technologies for balancing, assembly, testing, and filling processes.
  • Woodworking Machinery and Systems: Equipment and machinery dedicated to the woodworking industry.

Role Summary:

The Engineering Project Specialist is tasked with the design and definition of products. This role collaborates closely with Application Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Design teams to establish requirements, while also engaging with Procurement and Manufacturing to ensure effective design execution. The specialist is accountable for implementing Design Control processes pertinent to their designated product lines, utilizing the necessary tools and consulting with Process Engineers as needed. This position is crucial for the technical execution of projects upon receipt of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employing suitable tools, the Engineering Project Specialist will conduct sizing and application functions, aiding in the creation of customer-specific drawings (e.g., general arrangements, loading diagrams).
  • Collaborating directly with the Project Manager on project specifics, the specialist will outline the mechanical design of products/systems, providing conceptual models and collaborating with Electrical Engineers to achieve a finalized product.
  • Assisting the Project Manager in identifying long lead-time materials to ensure timely project execution.
  • Overseeing design reviews of critical assemblies.
  • Engaging with Process Engineering for detailed analyses as required.
  • Coordinating with the Mechanical Design Manager to allocate necessary design resources and support Designers with project-specific inquiries.
  • Formulating engineering specifications to guarantee that products meet design intent and customer specifications.
  • Working closely with Manufacturing during production to ensure compliance with both customer and internal design standards.
  • Supporting Procurement by providing clear scope definitions to vendors and assisting with any required technical clarifications.
  • Managing Order Changes (OCR) to ensure that the bill of materials and drawings accurately reflect the as-built product at the time of shipment.
  • Traveling to project sites for technical validation as necessary on a project-by-project basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the application, functionality, design, and testing of industrial products.
  • Solid understanding of detailed engineering principles.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis for structural design completion.
  • A strong background in heat transfer and fluid dynamics is preferred.
  • Experience in performing or reviewing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models is advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and the ability to pass drug tests throughout employment.
  • Compliance with the policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not entail direct supervisory duties.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, and utilize hands and arms. Work Schedule:

This is a full-time role, with workdays and hours varying based on operational needs. There may be requirements to work on holidays or weekends, and overtime may be necessary.

Travel Requirements:

This position necessitates limited travel, approximately 20%, which may include both overnight and daytime travel, both locally and internationally.
