Role Overview:
We are in search of a skilled Application Software Engineer to enhance our vibrant team. In this role, you will be tasked with designing and implementing software solutions that meet intricate business requirements. You will collaborate with various teams to outline, design, and deliver new features and functionalities. A solid grasp of software development best practices, agile methodologies, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Software Development:** Craft clean, scalable, and efficient code across multiple platforms (web, mobile, desktop).
2. **System Design:** Architect software systems that fulfill both functional and non-functional criteria.
3. **Quality Assurance:** Execute unit testing and troubleshoot applications to guarantee optimal performance.
4. **Documentation:** Create thorough documentation, including system designs, technical specifications, and operational guidelines. Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and regulations in control system design and execution.
5. **Team Collaboration:** Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and IT professionals, to ensure project success. Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
6. **Travel Requirements:** Be prepared to travel approximately 20% of the time to various manufacturing sites for on-site testing and commissioning activities.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
· Demonstrated experience as a Software Programmer or in a similar capacity.
· Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.
· Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
· Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
· Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
