About the Role

The Protection Application Expert will play a key role in promoting the technology leadership image of Schneider Electric's North American Market (NAM) team. This individual will be responsible for creating, raising, and maintaining the team's profile on the market, as well as supporting all pre-sales activities requiring detailed application knowledge or technical credibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Image Leadership: Lead the technical image of Schneider Electric's NAM team in the market by following industry trends, authoring and delivering technical papers, participating in national and international working groups, and being responsible for social media monitoring and participating in group discussions.
  • Application Documentation: Be responsible for application documentation, including application notes, product documentation chapters, and technical publications.
  • Expert Community Building: Animate and build an expert community in the relevant field, supporting Protection Application Experts (PAEs) to grow in their understanding and mentoring less experienced PAEs in the region.
  • Technical Training: Devise and prepare technical training in specialist areas, training trainers for wider distribution, and hosting technical webinars both internally and externally.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Interact with customer technical decision-makers, providing customer seminars and supporting Front Office activities, providing product demos and Proof of Concept exercises to key customers and partners, and supporting product homologations with NAM customers.
  • Offer Creation Process: Elaborate complex market requirements into detailed offer requirements, guide the validation team to ensure that projects are validated in line with customer needs, and support the launch of new products and features through white papers, trainings, and customer promotional visits.
Requirements
  • Customer-Facing Skills: Ability to be customer-facing and propose solutions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Convey technical knowledge in an authoritative and understandable way.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Possess high levels of communication and presentation skills.
  • Industry Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the Energy domain (internal or external).
  • Education: Engineering Degree (Electrical or related discipline), Master or PhD preferred.
