CoreSite is seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical operations group, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of our data centers, including technical support, maintenance activities, and ensuring operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications, mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems as well as data center operating procedures. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and that our customers receive exceptional service.

About the Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual who can assist in the operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance of our data center. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of telecommunications, mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems as well as data center operating procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of facilities systems, including electrical, mechanical, communications, and building monitoring and control systems.
  • Tracking and trending operational characteristics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Providing feedback to management on the effectiveness of existing standards and processes.
  • Working with contractors and consultants for all system expansions, corrections, and upgrades.
About the Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the data center industry, with a strong background in technical support, maintenance activities, and ensuring operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance. You must also have a proven track record of ensuring operational integrity, security, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced data center environment.

In addition to your experience and qualifications, we require that you possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You must also be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verification, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit check.

About the Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000 annually, with opportunities for discretionary annual bonus and equity incentives.
