Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Candidates must obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within the initial 60 days of employment and successfully pass the RBT examination through BACB. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY: The primary role of the Behavioral Support Technician (RBT) is to actively engage with clients, monitor their progress, collect relevant data, and report on various behavioral support service delivery methods tailored to meet the needs of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate understanding of autism spectrum disorders.
- Exhibit cooperation, enthusiasm, and commitment to the success of Friendship Community Care and its services.
- Adhere to FCC policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal regulations.
- Support community engagement efforts for public relations.
- Implement care plans as directed by the Behavior Analyst.
- Assist the Behavior Analyst with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition strategies.
- Teach specific behavioral skills as outlined in treatment plans.
- Foster social skills development.
- Communicate professionally with all stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date training related to autism spectrum disorders.
- Apply best practices in applied behavior analysis programming.
- Accurately collect and document data during treatment sessions.
- Ensure all data is entered into the Electronic Health Record system.
- Engage clients, create incidental learning opportunities, teach appropriate play and social skills, and reinforce desired behaviors.
- Collect quantifiable behavioral data regularly and maintain necessary documentation.
- Participate in professional meetings or conferences as required.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Friendship Community Care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- This position is safety-sensitive.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within the first 60 days of employment.

- Preferred experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, and interpret medical histories, assessment reports, and relevant data. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Capable of effectively speaking before groups of clients or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data through graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and handle various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to use hands for handling objects and must communicate effectively. QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE: Adherence to Quality Assurance and HIPAA procedures is mandatory:
- Follow the Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as outlined in new employee training.
- Maintain and complete consumer progress notes daily or as required.
- Ensure consumer records are updated and maintained as per funding source requirements.
