Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Director to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our multi-family units, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Maintenance Teams: Lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals to ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repair of Multi-Family Units: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all multi-family units, including plumbing, electrical, sewer, and HVAC systems.
  • Unit Turns and Renovations: Manage unit turns and renovations, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Preventative Maintenance Programs: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize the lifespan of all systems and equipment.
  • Contractor and Vendor Management: Coordinate with contractors and vendors for the provision of outsourced maintenance and repair services.
  • Safety and Security Protocols: Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintenance Budgeting: Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Staff Training and Development: Provide training, guidance, and feedback to maintenance staff.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
  • Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare reports on maintenance and repair activities and provide recommendations for improvements.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing in facilities maintenance with teams of 15 or more.
  • Education: A degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer, and HVAC systems, proficiency in the use of testing equipment, excellent project management skills, strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in MS Office and facility management software.
  • Certifications: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred.
