As an Engineering Project Specialist within the Sedimentation team, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the technical components of designated projects, executing the necessary engineering and design tasks within the allocated budget to fulfill customer specifications.

This role operates from our Salt Lake City Office, embracing a hybrid work model.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze all relevant project data, including designs and specifications, to ascertain project needs.
  • Oversee the technical facets of assigned projects throughout the engineering process. Conduct engineering assessments as required and produce necessary calculations, models, layouts, detailed drawings, specifications, and guidelines with minimal supervision.
  • Review calculations, models, layouts, detailed drawings, specifications, and guidelines created by drafters/designers and other engineers.
  • Possess knowledge of heavy machinery and rotating equipment design.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret fabrication, erection, and standard engineering drawings.
  • Understand welding, fabrication, and assembly methods related to structural steel.
  • Engage directly with clients alongside the project manager to address technical challenges.
  • Offer technical assistance to shop and field start-up operations.
  • Regularly document and update design protocols.
  • Advise project engineers, project managers, and/or other management on project progress.

Are You the Right Fit?

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Capability to apply advanced mathematical principles to intricate scenarios.
  • Expertise in a 3D modeling software application.
  • Familiarity with drafting standards for both mechanical and structural design, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
  • Experience in utilizing and creating parametric models.
  • Ability to frequently lift weights up to 30 pounds.
