As a Photonic Systems Firmware Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the advancement of our capabilities in precision synchronization and control of photonic systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Designing and developing firmware and software for optical communications and precision synchronization applications
- Reading, interpreting, and designing schematics for subsystems that bridge the digital, RF, and optical domains
- Communicating results through writing and slides to task leads and program leadership
- Supporting the development and fielding of advanced photonic prototypes for multiple applications
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering, physics, or related technical discipline
- At least 3 years of experience developing firmware and software for optical communications and precision synchronization applications
- Expertise in communication and synchronization protocols
- Ability to travel to field sites and work in a laboratory environment
- Eligibility for a Top Secret level security clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance
