About the Role

As a Sales Territory Representative at Asphalt Life, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with contractors, dealers, distributors, and builders in your assigned territory. Your primary goal will be to increase sales and revenue for Asphalt Life by promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and product innovations to ensure you are always providing the best possible solutions to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Regional Sales Managers, Plant Managers, and Account Executives, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with contractors and dealers to promote and sell Asphalt Life products, ensuring adequate distribution in the assigned market area.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with distributor and dealer sales teams to drive sales growth and expand market share.
  • Design and implement business plans that meet both Asphalt Life and distributor expectations, evaluating customer performance on a quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Follow up on quotes and ensure proper documentation is sent to the appropriate Account Executives and Pricing Administrator.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of experience in the building material industry or at least four years in a field sales capacity.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking), bilingual is a plus.
  • Professional selling skills, ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present information to groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.
  • Computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to respond to customer requests in a timely manner and act fairly and ethically in all business dealings.
  • Four-year degree is preferred.
