Job Purpose

Honda Aircraft Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Supply Chain Stability Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading supplier crisis mitigation and countermeasure efforts, as well as supporting supplier delivery performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with a focus on manufacturing process improvement and optimization. You will work closely with suppliers and other Honda business unit leaders to achieve supplier stability and minimize touchpoints.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage and direct situation appraisal and analysis of a supplier crisis on a specific part or assembly process.
  • Manage and oversee implementation of immediate corrective action plans (short-term and long-term) at critical suppliers.
  • Manage critical proactive projects (Capacity Management / LMPR / A-Rank NARS reporting, Shutdown, etc.).
  • Support reporting activity for root cause analysis / countermeasure implementation to solve complex problems with attention to closure speed and effectiveness.
  • Strive for continuous improvement through cycling Plan Do Check Action (PDCA) for area of responsibility (Capacity and/or Special projects) to ensure associate success.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent related experience. A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience is required, with a strong background in manufacturing process improvement and optimization.

The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in an open office environment, at a supplier's operations, or conduct business virtually. Ability to travel at moments' notice to confirm supplier situations at the spot (33% time) is also required.

Working Conditions
  • Strong sense of urgency and flexibility to respond to critical issues and unplanned risk events.
  • Ability to work in an open office environment, at a supplier's operations, or conduct business virtually where expectations are maintained.
  • Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a limited basis to support on-site supplier crisis.
  • Ability to work up to 5-15 hours OT each week as needed.
