Position Overview

The Rig Operations Crew Member (Derricks and Floors) collaborates within a team to ensure that all daily operational tasks are executed in alignment with our established policies and procedures, prioritizing the safety of our personnel and the quality of service provided to our clients. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of rig equipment.
  • Oversee all elevated tasks related to rigging operations (e.g., detaching components from pumping units).
  • Manage all activities associated with well servicing, including handling rod baskets and tubing boards (transferring rods and tubing from vertical storage to the elevator).
  • Operate tubing elevators for positioning tubing within the derrick.
  • Support the lifting or lowering of tubing, manually transporting it between storage and the work area.
  • Stop operations if conditions are deemed unsafe and report any concerns immediately, including hazards, incidents, and injuries.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • May be required to work on the rig floors or derricks as necessary.
  • Conduct inspections of PPE, fall protection systems, harnesses, derricks, and hoisting equipment as required.
  • Handle the pulling and laying down of rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment as needed, which may involve the use of forklifts, winches, or assistance from fellow crew members.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and tailgate meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good working order of the work site, equipment, and tools.
  • Assist in the routine inspection and maintenance of equipment.
  • Effectively perform elevator handling, hardline construction, and energy isolation procedures.
  • Report all incidents in accordance with company policies.
  • Drive crew vehicles as necessary (valid driver’s license and clean driving record required).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in the oilfield and/or on Workover Rigs is preferred.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as part of a team.
  • Willingness to continuously enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and overtime as required.
  • Capability to perform in outdoor environments under extreme temperatures and conditions.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States, maintain a clean driving record, and pass drug screening and background checks, including participation in regular random screenings.
