Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physics Staff Physicist to join our team at Duke Regional Hospital. As a key member of our radiation therapy department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of improving human health.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide radiation therapy physics services and support, including treatment planning and delivery, SBRT, IMRT/IGRT, equipment acceptance/commissioning, quality assurance, and chart checking.
- Serve as the radiation safety officer for the affiliate site and contribute to clinical projects and initiatives for the Duke system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care and participate in internal/external committees and organizations.
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD in Medical Physics or related degree from a CAMPEP-certified program.
- ABR board certification in therapeutic medical physics within 3 years of completing residency training.
- Proven clinical experience in radiation therapy physics, with knowledge of major treatment planning systems and patient information systems.
