Position Overview

The Event Service Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality to guests in a dynamic and bustling environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehend and interpret Event Orders effectively.
  • Capable of serving a minimum of 8 dishes per tray.
  • Deliver high-quality food and beverage service to guests during various events, adhering to company standards.
  • Establish and maintain a welcoming and professional rapport with guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and fulfilled.
  • Organize and sustain food and beverage stations across different areas, in line with service standards.
  • Oversee inventory management for food and beverage stations.
  • Keep all event spaces and front-of-house areas clean and orderly.
  • Assist in both the setup and breakdown of food and beverage service items.
  • Work independently during quieter periods.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean working environment.
  • Engage in high levels of social interaction, collaborating closely with team members and frequently interacting with patrons.
  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in tasks.
  • Exhibit multitasking abilities.
  • Handle and transport objects as necessary.
  • Maintain a customer-oriented, positive, and professional demeanor.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Have a basic understanding of arithmetic operations.
  • Stand for extended periods as required.
  • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach as needed.
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy items weighing up to 30 lbs. and frequently 15 lbs.
  • Exhibit punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Address simple complaints or inquiries from customers and community members.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least one year of experience in events, catering, or restaurant settings preferred.
  • Must be at least eighteen years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
