Key Responsibilities
  • Event Supervision: Supervise event staff personnel, volunteers, and third-party contract staff to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Training and Communication: Provide necessary training and information to ensure that staff and volunteers remain well-informed of the day's events.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate with supervisors to ensure the event's specific requirements are met.
  • Guest Services: Serve as a ticket taker and/or usher, distributing programs, taking tickets, and escorting patrons to their seats.
  • Problem Resolution: Address patron issues and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Event Setup and Tear-down: Assist with last-minute pre-event needs, such as setting up, decorating, and finding materials.
  • Accessibility Services: Provide special accommodations for patrons with disabilities, including wheelchair accessibility and other physical challenges.
  • Event Relocation: Assist with relocating patrons due to floor closures, maintenance issues, or other event-related needs.
  • Premium Experience Management: Handle check-in for special experiences, such as donor lounges, VIP packages, and other event needs.
  • Ticket Sales: Sell tickets and/or passes to premium experiences.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate exceptional customer relations, communication, and problem-solving skills. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others. Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Ability: Ability to navigate various floor surfaces and areas, including continuous standing and walking, including up and down stairs.
  • Environmental Factors: Ability to work in a variety of environments, including heights, elevators, darkened arenas, around crowds, loud noise, and flashing lights.
