Vaco Staffing is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a contract opportunity with a prominent corporate entity.
Position Overview:
Manage, document, bill, reconcile, and audit financial transactions pertinent to the organization’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate client invoices and ensure billing totals align with the general ledger.
  • Review reconciling items and initiate follow-up actions as necessary. Collaborate with Account Management and Expense Management as needed.
  • Distribute approved invoices to clients and departmental heads.
  • Calculate interest on funds allocated to or on behalf of clients.
  • Determine interest fees on overdue invoices.
  • Upload client invoices into third-party portal systems when required.
  • Address client inquiries regarding billing and account details.
  • Monitor and audit aged receivables for client expense reimbursements and property accounts. Prepare journal entries essential for accurate balance sheet classification (unbilled receivables) and submit to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor for final assessment.
  • Oversee client receivables and initiate collection actions for overdue invoices when necessary.
  • Conduct routine Trial Balance reconciliation to ensure the precision of the organization’s financial records.
  • Create, maintain, and disseminate internal tracking reports.
  • Update and sustain departmental documentation related to accounts receivable functions.
  • Assist the accounting supervisor with special assignments.
Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills to clarify report discrepancies.
  • Proficient mathematical capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster interpersonal relationships.
Supervisory Role:
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
  • Two to three years of experience in a billing capacity.
  • Experience in collecting on aged receivables is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Great Plains is advantageous but not essential.
  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
