Position Overview:
Florida East Coast Railway is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Revenue Specialist to enhance our Accounting team. This role is pivotal in managing business-to-business account follow-ups and collections for our clientele.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with day shifts from Monday to Friday, requiring on-site presence. Flexibility to accommodate later hours during month-end closing activities and support for the team, including potential holiday work, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
- Investigate historical data related to each debt or invoice.
- Engage with business customers to inquire about overdue payments.
- Implement strategies to promote timely debt repayments.
- Address billing and customer credit concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of account statuses and collection efforts.
- Provide reports on collection activities and accounts receivable status.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Conduct account reconciliations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in accounting, collections, or revenue management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
- Familiarity with TL2000, AS400, and JD Edwards E1 systems.
- Experience with Intermodal Directory, Carload Directory, and Drayage Circular.
- Background in railroad or trucking revenue management.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of interacting across various organizational levels and with external clients.
- Excellent organizational abilities with a focus on managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- The selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test.
- Successful results must be received prior to the start date in the new position.
