The Receiving Warehouse Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that customer satisfaction is met by managing the accuracy and timeliness of incoming orders.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving Duties

  • Unload, inspect, and verify the count of incoming shipments from carriers.
  • Organize and categorize shipments by respective business units.
  • Utilize packing slips or purchase order printouts to verify received products.
  • Match received items with corresponding purchase orders and accurately enter quantities into the inventory system.
  • Input precise data into the computerized inventory management system.
  • Place received products into designated containers, carts, pallets, or skids.
  • Transport products to the staging area for proper storage.
  • Identify discrepancies such as item counts, product descriptions, or damages and report them to the Overpayment & Damage Clerk (OS&D).

Bulk Receiving Responsibilities

  • Assess the accuracy and integrity of all incoming palletized shipments, including package counts and damage checks.
  • Efficiently enter all receiving transactions into the computerized inventory systems.
  • Identify and rectify inventory discrepancies, notifying OS&D of any irregularities.

Compliance with DSCSA

  • Authenticate all products and pharmaceuticals received at the fulfillment center.
  • Communicate with vendors to verify product authenticity and lot numbers.
  • Collect documentation from vendors that confirms their authentication of the drug's custody.

Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the essential functions outlined above, the employee may undertake the following additional tasks:

  • Conduct all business transactions in accordance with the company's code of ethics and conduct.
  • Align with the organization's Purpose, Vision, and Values.
  • Operate assigned warehouse equipment and machinery as required.
  • Meet or exceed assigned performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Handle hazardous materials, pesticides, and prescription drugs following company protocols and applicable regulations.
  • Adhere to company safety guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to meet deadlines and productivity targets.
  • This position requires the ability to train and certify in the operation of various forklifts, including sit-down, cherry picker, and Joey forklifts.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds; team lift for 56 to 100 pounds.
  • Continuous physical activity involving sitting or standing.
  • Frequent use of hands for various tasks.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, or crawling.
  • Occasional climbing on ladders.
  • No travel is required for this position.
  • Potential exposure to dust.
