COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

ROLE OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of small to medium-sized capital infrastructure projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to completion. The role requires close collaboration with engineering and project management teams to achieve project goals.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and finalization of electrical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical knowledge in electrical systems, and the capacity to effectively manage both internal and external resources to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report directly to the Engineering Manager. Provide leadership for assigned projects. Maintain high-level accountability for client relationships. Assist the Business Development team as required. Support established processes to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various initiatives. Address project management requests as needed by clients or project leaders. Train team members as appropriate.Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an owner's representative or engineer.
  • A minimum of 3 years managing a team of internal project resources and/or external contractors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management or delivery.
  • 3 years of experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Experience in power and energy systems is a plus.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, cost management, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions to address project challenges.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Lead the planning and execution of electrical infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to meet project requirements.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment essential for project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against established goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project delivery meets specifications and quality standards.
  • Regularly communicate project status, updates, and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards throughout project execution.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to review materials for accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Smartsheets, Google).
  • Ability to navigate various computer applications.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
  • Professional licensing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain Project Management Professional (PMP) certification within the first year of employment is required.
  • Industry certifications are preferred.
  • A valid local state driver's license is required.
