We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our team at RES Exhibit. As a key member of our AV department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tactical work related to audio, video, projection, and lighting equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Preparation and Packing
- Conduct quality checks on all equipment and wiring prior to packing
- Label equipment and wiring to ensure proper placement at events
- Work with our CAD team to create layouts for event books
- Collaborate with our production team to mount brackets to panels or stands
- Pack equipment in a secure fashion to ensure safe transportation
- Manage inventory in our system
- Prepare equipment delivery receipts
- Verify correct asset labeling of all equipment
- Confirm the latest firmware, updates, and software on all equipment
- Program LED lights for events
- Manage expense reports as required, following all company policies
- Equipment Receipt and Inventory Management
- Upon receipt of equipment from events, conduct quality checks for damage
- Remove any client products from equipment
- Clean any tape, velcro, or foreign products off of screens
- Verify the correct cables and remotes are in the box
- Place equipment back in inventory
- Receive items in our inventory system
- Monitor inventory counts, asset labeling, and firmware to ensure accuracy and up-to-dateness
- Make recommendations for additional purchases where needed
- Show Site Preparation, Packing, and Attendance
- Conduct quality checks on all equipment and wiring prior to packing
- Label equipment and wiring to ensure proper placement at events
- Work with our CAD team to create layouts for event books
- Collaborate with our production team to mount brackets to panels or stands
- Pack equipment in a secure fashion to ensure safe transportation
- Enter items into our inventory system
- Prepare equipment delivery receipts
- Responsible for all aspects of AV installation on show site
- Work with electricians and show personnel to install equipment
- Partner with clients on show site to provide equipment instruction
- Verify accuracy of services and equipment on show site
- Provide troubleshooting support at show site when required
- Shutdown and secure equipment at the end of each event
- Pack, unpack, and repack equipment for events to ensure a safe and secure delivery
- Manager's Observations
- Zero repeat incidents of quality issues on show site
- 100% customer satisfaction with AV equipment, installation, and support
- Survey results to PM and SSS (positive results)
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of expense reports
- 80% of labor time is billable
