As a Sterile Processing Team Lead at UCH Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our medical equipment processing department.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to lead our team in coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving. You will assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in areas of productivity and quality management.
  • Serve as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote teamwork and cooperation.
  • Assist with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving.
  • Perform responsibilities of underlying job and take responsibility for or provide guidance to team members on handling complex or novel issues.

You will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to make decisions with minimal supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 2 years of experience in sterile processing. Certification as a CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) is also necessary.
