About the Position
The Colville Tribes are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Prepare treatment rooms, space, and equipment for patients and dental professionals.
- Ensure accurate patient chart, dental, and medical histories are provided for each patient visit.
- Ensure dental tools and equipment are available for dental professionals at the time of patient visit.
- Document patient checkups and treatment plans.
- Follow sanitation guidelines and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and facilities.
- Take dental x-rays.
- Perform duties using universal precautions and appropriate protective equipment to reduce exposure to infection, bloodborne pathogens, and hazardous materials.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required for the trainee position. Dental assistant candidates must provide a copy of their license.
- A valid Washington State driver's license is required, and you must be eligible for the Colville Tribes vehicle insurance and maintained throughout employment.
- Basic Life Support, HIPAA, and Privacy Act training certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Working Conditions
The Colville Tribes have ADA-compliant facilities. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time and may require lifting of 15-50 lbs. You must be proficient with computers and willing to learn new software applications.

The Colville Tribes offer a robust benefit package, including 100% health, vision, life, and dental insurance coverage for the employee, with options to purchase additional insurance benefits. We also offer up to 6% match on a 401K or Roth IRA retirement plan, 12 paid holidays, funeral/bereavement leave, traditional leave, and jury duty leave. Prorated vacation and sick leave are available 90 days after hire.
