YOUR ROLE AS A SENIOR RISK ASSESSOR
As a Senior Risk Assessor within the Information Security division, you will utilize your technical acumen to support leadership in effectively managing enterprise security risks. This involves conducting risk assessments through various means such as questionnaires, interviews, and key control evaluations. You will play a crucial role in enhancing Wave's internal audit capabilities to better align organizational strategy with risk management, while also identifying opportunities to mitigate risks and enhance business performance. Additionally, you will apply Enterprise Risk Management principles to assist the organization in recognizing, evaluating, and addressing emerging risks. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring team members, providing audit recommendations, and serving as a point of escalation in the absence of leadership for inquiries from team members and external departments.

WHAT YOU WILL ENJOY IN THIS ROLE
  • Leading technical risk evaluations to uncover threats, risks, and controls.
  • Developing security protocols and processes within your department.
  • Guiding the risk assessment procedures, requirements, and controls.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate findings.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Experience:
  • 6+ years in IT/IT Security and/or Corporate Risk/Audit roles.
  • 4+ years in IT Risk Management and/or IT Internal Audit, particularly in Information Security & Technical Privacy.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Certifications: One of the following or equivalent certifications is required or actively pursued:
  • Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with control testing for audit/assessment frameworks such as PCI, SoX, HIPAA, NIST, and CPNI.
  • Understanding of technical aspects necessary for projects in IT Audits, IT Risk Management, Information Security, and Technical Privacy.
  • Experience with audit and/or Information Security practices and frameworks in large organizations.
  • Knowledge of Information Security strategy, policy, and governance.
  • Basic proficiency in using network and application security assessment tools and methodologies to manage security and control issues across various technologies.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
Abilities:
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Capability to translate technical concepts for non-technical colleagues and vice versa.
