Job Title: Healthcare Billing Specialist

At Integritus Healthcare MGT Services, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Billing Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Billing Specialist will be responsible for the complete and accurate resolution of all resident account balances for multiple facilities. This includes working directly with facility bookkeepers and nursing personnel to obtain necessary information, submitting claims, and resolving disputes with third-party insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving budgeted cash targets and days in Accounts Receivable for assigned facilities.
  • Participate in monthly Accounts Receivable meetings with Administrator, Facility Bookkeeper, and Director of Patient Accounts.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable meetings and train facility personnel as needed.
  • Submit claim forms, turnaround documents, or electronic files for all third-party claims within 5 days of month end.
  • Reconcile all accounts using general accounting principles to ensure balances are accurate.
  • Write appeal letters to third parties and respond to questions and calls from residents and their families.
  • Analyze and prepare refund request forms, adjustments, and account changes for approval.
  • Generate and complete month-end close and respond to questions from Lead Biller and Director.
  • Collaborate with accounting staff during financial statement preparation and generate credit balance reports.
  • Review all remittance advices received for accurate payments and ensure claims do not deny for failure to submit within filing deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of medical billing experience preferred, with nursing home billing experience a plus.
  • 1-2 years of business/financial accounting college courses or degree, or additional comparable work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of General Accounting Principles.

Work Environment:

This position has no supervisory responsibility and requires the ability to read, write, and speak English effectively and communicate verbally.
