Job Title: Healthcare Customer Support/Administrative Assist

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Customer Support/Administrative Assist is a vital role within our organization, serving as the liaison between incoming callers and agency staff. This position provides support services to the administrative and clinical staff, ensuring seamless communication and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Support: Greet clients, guests, and staff in a professional manner, answer phone calls, and route incoming calls as necessary.
  2. Client and Staff Engagement: Check in clients, notify clinicians/doctors of client arrivals, and supervise the lobby and waiting room area to minimize wait times.
  3. Clerical: Prepare and maintain paper and electronic files, photocopy documents, sort and process mail, and complete miscellaneous projects and reports.
  4. Scheduling: Cross-trained for Health Care Scheduler and Health Care Receptionist roles, complete appointment reminder calls/texts, and maintain the daily attendance and building occupancy sheet.
  5. Record Keeping: Verify client Medicaid authorizations, collect fees, and update client information in the electronic health record.
  6. Miscellaneous: Respond to emergency situations, maintain the waiting area and beverage cart, and assist with special projects and agency events.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, basic office knowledge, computer literacy, and 1 year of customer service experience. One year of administrative experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Typing and navigating Microsoft Windows, email usage, and valid driver's license.
