Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Rotork. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and grow revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including end-users, engineering consultants, contractors, and channel partners.
  • Effectively manage local channel partners, including manufacturer's representatives and distributors, to maximize their performance.
  • Monitor and pursue project sales, as well as service and aftermarket sales, at existing customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support, including responding to customer needs and engaging with the company's factory service group.
  • Deliver effective reporting and data analysis to ensure that sales activities are recorded and shared with others when needed.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape and the actions of competitors.
  • Work collaboratively with the manager and other area sales managers to develop a sales plan that aligns with the company's goals.
  • Provide regular business forecasts for all products and services.
  • Generate monthly sales reports with the regional sales manager to accurately project business forecasts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing sales techniques, including coordinating the sale of products and services on capital projects, as well as to resellers and end-users.
  • Experience with cold calling end-user customers.
  • Engineering or similar technical degree.
  • Strong diplomatic skills and ability to work effectively with all staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in the sale of engineered industrial automation products or process equipment.
  • High level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance.
  • Knowledge of the chemical industry, mining, and automated industrial processes.
